SMOKEY DREAMS

Posted in poetry with tags , , , , , , , , , , on July 30, 2010 by ravenstooth
Watch her sip glass from the whiskey laugh bath
True tales to begin,
Hold short the miles fly fast
Digging with a grin…

One day the sun will fade
So will the moon
As we leap out of shade
Before it’s too soon

Sit down your mind from the water that’s standing
We’ll watch how the flies fill the air as we’re landing
With her hair milky blue the aurora is drooling
The ancient clouds hiss as our eyes become fooling

One day the sun will fade
So will the moon
As we seek out of shade
One day the sun will fade
So will the moon
As we fade in the charade
Before it’s too soon

Let out the lost as light brightens your world
As you were saved there
Give to the wild as life gave you later
Til the blue colors your hair
If touching me is the pain that you seek you will die there like the sun
Wishing for the simple gentle careless selfless eyes that cry

Smokey dreams inside her pity
Let weary wrought be gone
Somewhere in this lonely city
There may never be a love so strong
Where did I ever go wrong
Where did I ever go wrong
Smokey dreams…

HOW I FOLLOW

Posted in poetry with tags , , , , , , , , on July 28, 2010 by ravenstooth
Have a feeling
That you understand
As I’m dreaming
Make you, feel my hand
Til you understand
How I’m feeling

As the flowers grow
In the wild load
It could breathe there
Push away the sand
Til you understand
How I breathe there

The mist is glowing like stars up above
There’s no other feeling like your love
With all these wonders that I’m thinking of

If you follow
You may never find
As you wallow
Inside my wild mind
I will give my hand
Til you understand
How I follow

THE FLOW

Posted in poetry with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on July 27, 2010 by ravenstooth
My legs weak indecision desolate worlds known
Like days that end in silence I’m sure I’m alone
To fear… When days drown… To hear love open
To self absorb into a lingering omen
There is a shadow searching someone
You’re breathing me
You’re breathing me
You’ve breathed in me
You’ve breathed in me

The tranquil moments opt in pleasure and plighting
The wind flows dreams of darkness and eroding
Led weeping into intent, pushed through to possible calm
This shadow mocks my boredom, from my palm
Like times when no sun saw them, she makes me feel so young again
Without the weak indulgence, we may never feel the end

From up above me I hold
There the dry sun smell
Unto the moon’s cry told
We’d create our life in hell
As we slip from the sun
To make our distance be known
We could dive right in
There is nothing we have shown
There is nothing we’ve shown
There is nothing we’ve shown
There is nothing we’ve shown
There is nothing left to own

We let the fine lines follow and go
To edge the comforts bought today
To open up the wind’s wicked flow
There could be an opal lighting the way
Let the image pass right in
Until there is no more dead-end
Share the last life breath
As you breath me that’s when I descend
Then you hold my soul
Let the wind take control
As too the weak desolate worlds go
As my eyes close I am the flow

There is nothing we’ve shown
There is nothing we’ve shown
There is nothing we’ve shown
There is nothing left to own

THE END OPEN

Posted in poetry with tags , , , , , , , , , , , on July 24, 2010 by ravenstooth
I though you knew me, the windows are glass
And tossing rubies, then laugh without yourself
I am drifting alone in this wishless bath
As if killing diamonds were as deadly as wealth

Lovely women they just don’t get me, I know
And it’s a wonder how they can see, the show

The weather’s changing, with pictures in motion
There’s a water bug losing his mind
Come inside the water speaks ocean
The elevator door locks up the wind chime

Cactus freedom there are spines in the mirror
Took the truck to the farthest Alaska

Head winds turn from east to west
Blood tries so hard to live its best

When the flowers that you find sleep inside your perfumed mind
You shower in the rain holding on to life long pain

The fire sits there licking all the air
As the log sits calmly burning despair
Why’d you write those words in your hair
White’s the color of laughing without a care

Lovely women they crowd up my wild mind
And it’s a wonder that there isn’t one I can find

Eagles…Eagles…

Times are tough when there is no one new
Tried to fly with birds but who even knew
Found the last guitar and so did you
Crazy calls into fire pits that trash the hue

Listening to dreams that saw the end open
Watched the fireflies in spotlight hoping

Take the ride out of your eyes
Hit the storms when you abide
Searching for a place to hide
Here inside my desert tide

The sweet repeat lingers too low
My smile is your safety that you know
Opened up your ancient glow
Without you ever needing to say hello

Times are tough when there is someone new
Tried to fly with birds but what would that do
Found the last guitar and so did you
Started following the echos that trash the hue

Listening to dreams that saw the end open
Listening to dreams that saw the end open
Listening to dreams that saw the end open
Listening to dreams that saw the end open

MY MOM

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , on July 24, 2010 by ravenstooth
What god would make me want to think this way
There’s never enough words for me to say
That god had this amazing crazy idea one day
To create this world then make us kneel down and pray
But to who?
Have you ever thought to believe in you

Hey, Mom showed me another bright blue sky
With all the creature running and flying by
Thanks Mom you gave me this amazing world so I
Can live and breathe with never needing to wonder why
But when I do?
I just need to love and believe in you

This god never fought a single war
So what are all these people dying for
Each cult sings praise for they seem so sure
That their souls will be knocking at the god damn door
What will it do?
Have you ever thought to believe in you
This fighting for god seems blasphemous too

My Mom made the rain fall down
My Mom drove the winds out of town
My Mom made the sun shine all day
My Mom gave us the earth so we could play
My Mom can grow a perfect flower
My Mom has this amazing power
My Mom can feed the entire world
My Mom makes all the colors swirled
My Mom brought in a hurricane
My Mom can be a bit insane
My Mom has all the secrets you can hear it
My Mom is the peace in a landscape’s spirit
My Mom does what she really wants to
My Mom made me believe in you
My Mom made me believe in you
My Mom made me believe in you
My Mom made me believe in you

THE MORNING

Posted in poetry with tags , , , , , , on July 24, 2010 by ravenstooth
Perhaps in the morning I should wake to you
For in the morning, life becomes brand new
And yesterday’s a dream with a different hue
For in the morning, the day belongs to you

You could draw the curtains and let her shine in
Open the window and let the world come in too
Hear the birds speak their wisdom with their singing
Feel the freshness of the sweet morning dew

The morning is our valley
Stuck between two worlds in one
Watch the sun come crying
Light the beauty as we come
Touch you, in the morning pleasure swiftly
Once we start our vision, nothing else will fair

I found that we stare, in our eyes
Let the morning clear away our lies
If we have a care, deep in our cries
The morning light will replenish our vibes

Breathe the morning
Breathe the morning
Breathe the morning or else we’ll die
Leave the morning
Leave the morning
Leave the morning so the days go by

THEM

Posted in poetry with tags , , , , , , on July 24, 2010 by ravenstooth
I’ve been thinkin
About what you do
When I’m missing-
Are you the same to them
When you’re seeing them
When I’m not them…

Walked the open road
With the words we told
Have we deemed them-
Both when we used to hold
And the love we showed
All the in-between was old

The stairs climb harder as we fall… fall away
There is something we have lost… on the way
So lets turn back and start out on… another day

Summer’s autumn
Seems like lullabies
As we caught them
Shine like fireflies
We can deem them
When we see them
