FROM THE EDGES OF THE SHADE

As the night becomes so bright
To listen to your sight
Your fright becomes so slight
As your awareness is so tight

From the edges of the shade
You’ll open mundane threshold
A beacon of the fade
Broke the colors of your gold

From what we passed then know
Our empty wishes find out
We have nothing else to show
When we borrow from our doubt

We lend from how we sow
As our gardens seldom grow
Unless we willfully show
That our sorrow’s not in tow

When we follow all the dust that blows
Taking none to hurry
Catching the flightless birds
As they squawk and scurry

From what we laughed then go
Our empty hopes will find out
We have no one else to hold
When we listen to all their doubt

I passed the stars downstream
Not one would think to wish me
And in my mind I’ll scream
As the fish are trying to fish me

Your sorrows will lead you home
When your bags are full so hopeless
You could walk a thousand miles alone
Or give your self so selfless

From what we passed then know
Our empty wishes find out
We have nothing else to show
When we borrow from our doubt

Then I tripped upon my pain
As I looked up I was crying
As I have done again and again
Without ever even trying…trying

There is never any answers
As our questions will come and go
Like the music moves the dancers
As the river’s waters flow

There is never any answers
As our questions will come and go
Like the music moves the dancers
As the river’s waters flow

There is never any answers
As our questions will come and go
Like the music moves the dancers
As the river’s waters flow
