COLD GAZE

Posted in poetry with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , on August 25, 2010 by ravenstooth
Took a trip to the fearless
Slumped in hide
Just so much I could take in
I dove inside
Once the weirdness played
Creeped up withered for a while
Leapt into hazing
Now this fear is mine
Now this fear is mine

I shed my cold gaze
I shed my cold gaze

Said too often I’d sip you
With no replies
Then I open up my mouth
You stole my cries
Empty motions fade
Like watching dreamers in the light
Ghosts stopped to shade us
Even when we’re paralyzed
Even when we’re paralyzed

And I shed my cold gaze
I shed my cold gaze
How could you hold
Me in this lonesome state
How come you hold
Me in this lonesome state

Waited for wonder to seek me
Crept up inside
As wishes are transient
Packed up all its pride
Walked out into the bright sun
Until I was washed out away
No time for waiting
For my dying, for my dying

I couldn’t stand the blaze
I couldn’t stand the blaze
Yeah couldn’t stand the blaze
I couldn’t stand the blaze

As I shed my cold gaze
I shed my cold gaze
How could you hold
Me in this lonesome state
How come you hold
Me in this lonesome state
How can you hold
Me in this lonesome state
How come you hold
Me in this lonesome state

I couldn’t stand the blaze

AT NIGHT A DIFFERENT HUE

Posted in poetry with tags , , , , , , , , , on August 23, 2010 by ravenstooth
Search for things to say
To speak about or follow
Maybe just some day
You land standing free
I stand upon the mountain as the full moon sleeps away
To open my mind until I can see inside
I wouldn’t have to wonder or cry
If, you held my love tonight
You’d see that everything is alright
But it depends…

Breathe in my love and adore
Hold me in your sweet air
As we swim through our night
And touch our love and our dream
Makes the magic
Which will always feel right
The skies are blue
At night a different hue

Clouds come in and say
They speak about their sorrow
Maybe just one day
They’ll cry out to me
I hold on to my visions as the world spins and sways
To wash out my mind until it begins to seep inside
I wouldn’t have to wonder or die
If, you held my love tonight
You’d see that everything is alright
But it depends…

Breathe in my love and adore
Hold me in your sweet air
As we swim through our night
And touch our love and our dream
Makes the magic
Which will always feel right
The skies are blue
At night a different hue
The skies are blue
At night a different hue

STOLE MY FUEL

Posted in poetry with tags , , , , , , on August 21, 2010 by ravenstooth
I gave her everything inside of me
But maybe that wasn’t part of me
Tears all drown around me
Listen to them splash into her sea
The distance from her stream
And the vastness of her dream
Are the reasons for me to leave
Letting go the oceans that gave us peace
Her vacuum seemed to just leak
Dimmed the lights until we’re through
The morning light brought the blue
What would be the purpose to reel the real
My insides only twist, turn and then don’t feel
Broke my pride and stole my fuel
Now all I have left is I think that I’m a fool
Made me frown, now I’m the clown
Now I’m fucked and I feel so down
Never will I hear her sing her song
She’ll never sing that song to me
Her love is gone from inside me
But that’s just how it has to be
Fucked my soul and installed fear
What the fuck did I ever do to make her veer
Gave her everything inside
Now that is all left is that our love has died
Just fuckin go you’ll never know
How big we could have made our love grow
Now in your eyes are only lies
I will never give a shit when I hear your cries

OH WILL YOU

Posted in poetry with tags , , , , , , , , , on August 21, 2010 by ravenstooth
To close your eyes to never
To let your hued stains run yeahey
An eclipse will steal your visions too
Your beauty and your sun
Oh will you trace me

And the woods contains lang syne
Well equipped to make men die yeahey
As we spill our dainty majesties
There is wilderness in I
Oh will you age me

So when you trace
You better trace yourself
And to come with age in pieces
For your age is worth your death
Oh will you breathe me
So when you breathe
You better breathe yourself
And to smell the air in pieces
For your last breath tastes your death
Oh will you taste me

In the field you are so pretty
As the grasses brush your face yeahey
You washed me with your loving
It was the best I ever will taste
Oh will you let me

SILENCE IS

Posted in poetry with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , on August 20, 2010 by ravenstooth
Fly high til it frees you
Your wandering astray
Your mind is your echo
There is no other way

Seek until the moon calls
Soak the rain clouds
Let your world creep up inside you
Silence is talking about you

Wind lets you see
Your wilderness will show
And dream infinity
Fears will water your every flow

Send up a fire smoke show
Where the wind goes
As your crazy thoughts still guide you
Silence is laughing right at you

Love is never-ending, never dead
Weeping and doubting
Even after all the hate’s been bled
We’re keeping on shouting yeah…

In eyes that are seeing
No more tears to rain
As lives become veering
Lovely days of pain

Speak up to cloud falls
Wipe your visions
Watch the world become your Raven
Silence is this pain you’re saving
Silence is leashing your behaving
Silence is this pain you’re saving
Silence is what your engaged in
Silence is this pain you’re saving
Silence is laughing right at you
Silence is talking about you…

STAND ME UP

Posted in poetry with tags , , , , , , , , , , on August 17, 2010 by ravenstooth
Stand me up in the middle of my flower
Stand me up until my petals unfold today
Won’t stand you up in the middle of my power
Won’t stand you up until my petals fold away

If water falls from the sunshine down tomorrow
If water falls from the moon’s hiss it’s okay
The water falls into the sunshine that we follow
The water falls from the moon’s kiss we feel today

The wilderness speaks in breaths of wisdom
The wilderness speaks in breaths all day
If I could give the wilderness back its kingdom
If I could give the wilderness back its way

Touch the blue as you reach up in the sky
Touch the blue as you hold on to its secret
Can’t touch the blue even if you reach up so high
Can’t touch the blue even when you try to speak it

Stand me up in the middle of my flower
Stand me up until my petals unfold today
If you stand me up in the middle I’d give you my power
If you stand me up my petals will hold you all day

LIME SWEET SAGE

Posted in poetry with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on August 16, 2010 by ravenstooth
Pass the curb
On sidewalks lay
The shadows begging lime sweet sage-
In ghosts we pass
As dawn speaks day
We’ve never feared it like we do today-

Streams in soft parade
While the dreams burn sage yeah
As the heat melts streets into liquid rage yeah

The wish was lost
A fastly night
A month goes by with all our might-
Where sight has eyes
Like etched in white
These haunting thoughts just stroke and fight-

My we have plied
Frozen in the skies yeah
With all my strength I tend to fly yeah yeah yeah

The water lives
Inside us all
We catch the stars that never fall-
As wind fucks by
The tranquil try
To be at peace no matter why-

These volumes stay
Like when children play yeah
As long as we know how we react today yeah
As long as we know how we react today yeah

Pass this gray curb
My sidewalk lays
The shadows are begging the lime sweet sage-
Will ghost we are
Speak dawn that way
We only fear ourselves throughout every day-

We stepped on our shade
As lost worlds fade
Now my sights are found in burning sage yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah…
Now my sights are found in burning sage yeah
Now my sights are found in burning sage
