A LOVING GRIN

Unfolding before my eyes, the trickle of where to roam
Somewhere inside the distance is a horizon away from home
And there you sit, smiling into the sun
As I wander up upon you we decide to let run
Our dreams we’ve always wondered about but never caught on
And in our hands we hold our happiness that no one could dawn
With the morning’s sun echoing the dance we are learning
We look into each other for the promises we are yearning
We’ve waited too long and have tortured the road with¬†disappointing tries
In this journey we seek truth, comfort, honesty, and smiling eyes
There is never any reason for our wants, or any regrets to fail
Unless we give it a whirl and speak with our sound minds we’ll prevail
So we wrap our fingers around each others to feel the warmth within
And turn to say that life is ours to share, but we speak it with a loving grin
Then we unfold before our eyes the trickle of where to roam
Home…
