EYES- TO THE BONE

One time, I came upon a spider’s web in the road
I climbed on up and ask the spider what’s her name
She sold me a bound up empty and wasted carcass
I took it as my body became sucked away

Eyes- to the bone
I cried
Eyes- to the bone

I came up upon this luscious and sacred garden
Inside there was a maiden fair and willing to play
I took her into the worshiped and holy fountain
She made me feel like I was nothing but a charade
There was no escape from her parade

Eyes- to the bone
She could be about all that I’ve cried
Until my life has died
Eyes- to the bone
As for her love there is nothing I’ve denied
Eyes- to the bone
I cried
Eyes- to the bone

And then she will climb
Then she will climb
She will climb to me
She will climb to me
Inside to me
Inside to me
She’ll show me that her eyes are craving everything she sees in me
Take me to her inspirations that lead me back into her dream
Dream into me

Eyes- to the bone
I cried
Eyes- to the bone
She lets her sweat climb around me
I’m giving her my soul
Eyes- to the bone
As for her love, there is nothing I’ve denied
Eyes- to the bone
I cried
Eyes- to the bone
I cried
Eyes- to the bone
I cried
Eyes- to the bone
I cried…

WITH WILD EYES

Posted in poetry with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on June 27, 2010 by ravenstooth
My mind crumbles in dawn’s new face
Like when I used to chase the race
Now I just stare in space

Had a dream, had a dream
Let in the sunlight and its beam
I called to ravens until they scream
With wild eyes watch it stream

Willfully this garden’s green
Flowers strewn colors impassibly
Then the petals touch the ground
With the dew

Had a dream, had a dream
The moon’s reflection is not what it seems
I touched a raven’s omen and fell between
Wild eyes whirled worlds never seen

BLANK GAZE

Posted in poetry with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on June 21, 2010 by ravenstooth
When your company shivers and strains my heart
There could never be letters that I could write
As if when you say, you could give all that I want
I turn slowly toward the sun screaming light
Toward the sun screaming light

Your eyes stare in blank gaze
Your eyes glare in sad ways

If you said that you’d save me from my own hell
There would be all this wonder that you created now
Tried to blend in with life, like the words heard in a shell
When you sought for my spirit you forgot you knew how
You forgot you knew how

And your eyes stare in blank gaze
Your eyes glare in sad ways

You never saw that I would make my way
You never saw that I would make my way

Tomorrow twilights with seekers, ripped and riled
Webbed lightly with feathers, we make our climb
Just when you smoked laughly, I smoked smiles we already tried
Bodies adjacent, and sublime… and sublime
My words will only age
My words will only age

And your eyes stare in blank gaze
Your eyes glare in sad ways
You never saw that I would make my way
My words will only age

BOWLEGGED EYES

Imprisonment with no chance of escape
My bowlegged eyes touch your soft nape
I coo your freak in my inquisitive rape
You hold me hard as we meld into shape
Then die in our ruins still stuck in our tape
