THAT YOU WERE SMILING

When I stepped out into the fresh midnight air
I was feeling pretty good and I knew I would
Begin to see me
And the moon shone white like a flashlight beam
And I started to dream, I swear I heard you scream
Then I could see you

Sat down on the cool wet lawn
To try to let this run
Thought there until the moon crashed into dawn
And watched the rising sun
My only hope was that you were smiling

Then the morning rooster begged for the waking light
As he yelled his crow, to let everyone know
He was yawning
And the dew that wet the lawn all that night
Which cooled the air, there was fog everywhere
We were dawning

Witnessed the morning doves flying in my head
I also saw the chickadees come scavenging for pieces of bread
They never even saw our shadows shiver

And then in from the east, flew a raven
He was a screaming showman, tricked us to believe the omen
Was our distant echo
When I stepped back into my reality there
I was feeling very good, I could tell that my path would
Begin to let go

Sat down on the dry green lawn
To try to let this run
Thought there until the sun crashed away the dawn
And watched the raven sun
My only hope was that you were smiling

THE MORNING

Posted in poetry with tags , , , , , , on July 24, 2010 by ravenstooth
Perhaps in the morning I should wake to you
For in the morning, life becomes brand new
And yesterday’s a dream with a different hue
For in the morning, the day belongs to you

You could draw the curtains and let her shine in
Open the window and let the world come in too
Hear the birds speak their wisdom with their singing
Feel the freshness of the sweet morning dew

The morning is our valley
Stuck between two worlds in one
Watch the sun come crying
Light the beauty as we come
Touch you, in the morning pleasure swiftly
Once we start our vision, nothing else will fair

I found that we stare, in our eyes
Let the morning clear away our lies
If we have a care, deep in our cries
The morning light will replenish our vibes

Breathe the morning
Breathe the morning
Breathe the morning or else we’ll die
Leave the morning
Leave the morning
Leave the morning so the days go by

PAGED COLOSSAL

Paged colossal
Formal and awful
You’re beckoning my pulse
My window slips an outside sight
Drawn by dawn’s jacinth light

Hunh winced blush
Your perfect pout touch
My blur resonates drive
I thrust into your alive
Meshing loves twirl embers white

Pulsed entrée
Our frozen slipstream
Lips quiver opt
Your guard sullen dropped
Until the whiplashed stopped
Barred like menagerie

Nutation summoning
Hearth supple touch
Glinted shadows clutch
Into lovers coming
Embroidered with such
Loving

Presaged or bode
Her sex her ode
Sets awe into the world
A polished dawn orange curl
Whose spirals reap cold
Bent in sweat allure
