URSIDAE LUMBERS IN

Posted in poetry with tags , , , , , on October 22, 2010 by ravenstooth
Fire freaks on fallen forests
Soon it will fly forever
This ravage empire dwells soulful and weakening
Water washes the hardwoods cool
The creatures climb back into the scorched earth
Plants regain their clench and open the sun
The silent smoke floats ghostly over moss
Rain has taken back the power
Shall we awe at the blackened bark
Hallow and tepid
Solemnly we walk without a sound
As the loose obedience traps timeless occurrence
Vented as reasons trail flightless and draped
Hear the ominous lament
Widowed and pleasured
Ursidae lumbers in
Piglike and plunk
Vestibular
Nettling
Augerist
Continued life
Forage

THE LARK

Posted in poetry with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , on September 26, 2010 by ravenstooth
Is the lingering lark always sitting
With the pause of sun in its eye
As the mist crowds in on the fly

Squinting hard to see if it’s snow spitting
Watch the lark turn and hit the sky
The mist seems to be turning out dry

Up above we hear the lark singing
We smile and see it fly
She’s is circling around inside the blue sky
Oh yeah she singing
She’ll be singing all day
Yeah the mist is following
On this beautiful day
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

I love to see you smiling
Anytime you show your face
I wish to make you smile
For your happiness is worth the skylark’s chase

As we head on into the meadow
The tall grass is wet with dew
I can hear the lark singing it’s song for you
Oh yes I do

Up above we hear the lark singing
We smile and see it fly
She is circling around inside the blue sky
Oh yeah she singing
She’ll be singing all day
Yeah the dew is drying too
On this beautiful day
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

I love to see you smiling
Anytime you show your face
I wish to make you smile
For your happiness is worth the meadowlark’s chase

I love you darling
You love me too

MY MOM

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , on July 24, 2010 by ravenstooth
What god would make me want to think this way
There’s never enough words for me to say
That god had this amazing crazy idea one day
To create this world then make us kneel down and pray
But to who?
Have you ever thought to believe in you

Hey, Mom showed me another bright blue sky
With all the creature running and flying by
Thanks Mom you gave me this amazing world so I
Can live and breathe with never needing to wonder why
But when I do?
I just need to love and believe in you

This god never fought a single war
So what are all these people dying for
Each cult sings praise for they seem so sure
That their souls will be knocking at the god damn door
What will it do?
Have you ever thought to believe in you
This fighting for god seems blasphemous too

My Mom made the rain fall down
My Mom drove the winds out of town
My Mom made the sun shine all day
My Mom gave us the earth so we could play
My Mom can grow a perfect flower
My Mom has this amazing power
My Mom can feed the entire world
My Mom makes all the colors swirled
My Mom brought in a hurricane
My Mom can be a bit insane
My Mom has all the secrets you can hear it
My Mom is the peace in a landscape’s spirit
My Mom does what she really wants to
My Mom made me believe in you
My Mom made me believe in you
My Mom made me believe in you
My Mom made me believe in you

DROWNING PHOSPHORUS

Posted in poetry with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , on April 23, 2010 by ravenstooth
I heard a poor man reaching out to buy some greed
And he dropped it on the ground and it shattered
His cold eyes slung with heat as a tear mustard bleed
And without any reaction his humble torn tattered

Saw what I never thought would come by my scurried way
I was shocked at my surprise in my direction feeble wad
How I came upon such an eerie nostalgia begging me to stay
So I lunched on up to my quick perch and drooled lostly mad

She stopped to tell the floating birds a breath of pleasant words
Her lightness crumbled into a shadow storm drowning phosphorus
In the mirror a drink warmed the broth speckled fragrant herds
She twinkled her aura spit honey into the universal loss for us

What mighty destiny brought wilderness traveled night
It’s mist bruised grudgingly with sun cast and enlightenment
Weird dalliance hot on the sweet nectar metamorphic sight
A gentle breeze pivots strewn among the forest and enchantment

Now return to dreams seeking truth in night vision calamity
Search for your double in the strange array that this time submits
Push apart reality like when hovering flight fills turned giddy
Let go hindsight erection and flow into her mindless formless wits

RAVEN’S TONIC

Posted in poetry, Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , on January 24, 2010 by ravenstooth
Pastures with the smell of the raven’s tonic prize
The beasts gather to imbibe in death’s wild fragrance
Keeping close attention to their imminent demise
Circling the remains in hopes of tasting their vagrance
The new ones hold innocence like frozen confused eyes
As the experienced drool in hopes of getting their chance
Then the wind shifts the waft in a ruthless grizzly surprise
All fall perish within this wild titans unruly piercing trance
The raven’s tonic dissipates then brews again over the next rise
The nomads resume the salivary nasal blood thirsty dance
